At a performance festival organized by the Grotowski Institute, I spent 12 hours placing dots on a 4x4 meter canvas. The movement I performed references the Sadhu tradition, reflecting a style of movement that some people maintain throughout their lives. The aim of this performance was to bring the body into a state of crisis through prolonged exposure to discomfort and pain. By observing and extending these sensations with a sense of detachment, I sought to reveal an objective reality (movement – dot). The performance also left room for the audience’s imagination: one person might see a soldierly gesture (drop-rise), while another might see a monster spitting out black liquid.
